Selenium is a set of open source APIs/tools used for functional automation testing. Selenium provides flexibility in designing robust test scripts compatible with various browsers like Firefox, Chrome, IE, Safari, Opera and Operating Systems including Windows, Linux, and Apple OS X. It also supports all popular development languages such as Java, .Net(C#), PHP, Ruby, Perl, and Python, meaning there is no dependency on language when it comes to automation testing.
This course will prepare you for our next Selenium course, on developing an automation Framework.
The Selenium WebDriver - Scripting course is the first in a short series of courses designed to teach students how to use Selenium WebDriver for automation.
This course requires basic knowledge of Java, HTML, XML and Object-Oriented Programming. If you do not have these skills, our Introduction to Automation course will bring you up to speed.

Using Selenium WebDriver including:
Configuring Selenium WebDriver through Java, Maven and Eclipse.
Creating a Maven Project.
Writing scripts to automate testing on a demo website.
This course will prepare you for the next Selenium course, on developing an automation Framework.
Students must bring their own laptops and have administrator rights in order to install the required software. Windows laptops are preferred, however, IOS can be catered for. Contact us for more instructions if you use IOS.
